FW: Hartshorn Classroom News

Hi~

I am hoping all parents received the following email message from Shutterfly last night or this morning.   You will note that this site contains classroom photos of our first couple of days together this year, and a short note to let you know that we are doing great as a classroom community!

I was part of a tech course this summer and learned about blogging, glogging, bubbling, and prezis (to name just a few).  Yes, very silly names, but…in the midst of it all, I found Shutterfly offers a SHARE site that allows teachers to design classroom blogs—painlessly.

So, I’m going to give it a try, and see how it goes.

This site includes a calendar function, and will send you updates when school events, such as class field trips, Open House, etc. are nearby.

This site is secure, and ONLY allows people who I have invited and given the password, too—so only student parents and school personnel have been invited and have the password.   Even if someone has the password (hartshorn), they are not allowed into this site UNLESS I have invited them by giving Shutterfly their email address.

Let me know if you have any questions or comments about this new approach to communicating with you about classroom happenings, upcoming events, and photos of your children in action.

Have a lovely weekend—SUMMER is not over yet!

Brenda
